Benefits

Membership gives you discounted entry fees to many local events, allows you to enter regional or national championships, the regional OY series, regional training camps, and overseas events. You'll also receive the regular Memb-O email newsletter keeping you up-to-date with orienteering events and results, both locally and beyond, and you'll be supporting the development of foot orienteering, rogaining, and MTBO in the Hutt Valley and Wellington region.

The membership year runs from January to December and membership renewals are due before the end of March.

Membership fees

For 2024 the standard membership fees are:

• If it's your first time ever joining an orienteering club then we offer 50% off for the first year.
• Associate members (whose main affiliation is to another NZ orienteering club) are also half price, as are members who were significant contributors to the club during the previous year and didn't receive a koha for the contribution(s), and committee members.

Current membership fees are also listed on the first page of the 'Register' form and during the renewal process.

Membership renewals

Were you a member of Orienteering Hutt Valley last year?

• If YES then you will receive an email containing an invoice inviting you to renew your membership for the year. Nothing to do except pay it when the email arrives in late January/early February!
• If NO then:
  • Are you transferring from another NZ club?
    • If YES then please Contact us, selecting the topic of Membership, and include your ONZ id if you know what it is.
  • Have you been an Orienteering Hutt Valley member anytime since 2020 but NOT last year?
    • If YES then please Contact us, selecting the topic of Membership, and request your membership be re-activated for the current year.
  • Were you an Orienteering Hutt Valley member in 2019 or earlier but not since then?
    • If YES then you will need to register as a new member (below).
  • For all other cases, register as a new member (below).
