Orienteering is a sport for individuals and families of all ages using a map to navigate to locations — a great way to discover new parts of a reserve/park or points of interest.
A permanent orienteering course is a fixed orienteering course available for anyone to try or practice orienteering at any time of the year.
The permanent course at Waikanae Park is a public reserve with gardens, bush, paths, and open areas.
There are 24 control points consisting of wooden posts with a small orange/white plate.
The instructions suggest three different courses you can do.
