Brookfield Permanent Course
Orienteering is a sport for individuals and families of all ages using a map to navigate to locations — a great way to discover new parts of a reserve/park or points of interest.
A permanent orienteering course is a fixed orienteering course available for anyone to try or practice orienteering at any time of the year.
Brookfield
The permanent course at Scouts New Zealand's Brookfield Outdoor Education Centre consists of accommodation buildings and campsites in a bushclad setting with numerous tracks.
It covers an area of 0.5 sq. km and has 26 permanent control markers on wooden posts.
The area is not public property; permission for use should be sought from the warden, Ph 04 564 1000.
