Marquita Gelderman who began her orienteering career with OHV, has won the long distance silver medal in W55 at the World Masters Orienteering Champs in Poland. The Geldermans lived at Catchpool Stream before Marquita left to study Vet Science at Palmerston North, and now lives at Helensville. Her athletic career is remarkable, having survived a double cruciate ligamant (knee) rupture to again win championship titles. She is also a world class MTB-orienteer and adventure racer. Bendigo-based OHV member Ted van Geldermalsen placed 12, 15 and 18 across sprint middle and long distances in a field of 222 M70's. Full results are at www.wmoc2026.pl
