While some of us were practising at Karori Park, Laura and Tim Robertson were in the biggest orienteering relay in the world. The Finnish event consists of a 4-person womens relay (the Venla, with 1300 teams this year) and a 7-man relay (the Jukola, with 1700). The men run thru the night, in fact most of the teams are still running as I write. But Tim's team (he runs for Finnish club Koovee) has finished in 10th place. He ran the relatively short 5th leg. Laura was 4th runner for Rykmentti who were 86th in the Venla.
