OHV and HVHS started the new CollegeSport year in style with top results and a big turnout at Karori Cemetery last night. Event one in the 2026 Sprint series was planned by members Jake and Morag McLellan before they headed off to uni in Christchurch.
Hutt orienteers won 6 of the 10 CSW grades, and claimed 18 of the 30 possible placings. Winners were Cameron Johns in SB (Hutt also 3rd, 4th and 6th); Jacob Williams in IB (also 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7); Emily Williams in JG (also 2, 4 and 5); Petra Wells in Y7/8G; Joshua Holden in Y7/8B (also 2 and 4); and Cooper Williams in Primary Boys. Plus we went 2-3 in IG.
The second event in the series will be based at Chilton St James school next week.
