A great start for the small Hutt Valley contingent at the North Island SS Champs in New Plymouth today with four students in the top 10 of the sprint. Dominic Holden placed 9th in the 55-strong Intermediate Boys. But Jacob Williams was two minutes ahead in 2nd! But wait there's more. Emily Williams and Joshua Holden placed 2nd in Year7/8! Annelise Quigley is there too but her strength is in a longer distance.

Update Saturday: All five Hutties placed in the top 10 in today's Long, with honours going to Emily Williams with a win (1min ahead of 2nd, 5min over 3rd.) Jacob was 6th, Dominic and Joshua 7th and Annelise 9th.  See Winsplits for details. We'll be in unofficial relay teams tomorrow as we dont have three from any one school.
