The CSW Classic series is well under way with 184 people, many of them students, at the second event at Battle Hill on Sunday. While different skills are required compared to urban sprints, the same names appear at the top; with Miriam Water, Cameron Johns, Dominic Holden, Joshua Holden and Annabel Holden winning both classics so far. Other standouts were the young elites using Red Long as a training exercise (would you believe 35 minutes?); Nicole Maddigan fastest on Red Short; and Deborah Lynch (3rd woman in this year's Coast to Coast) running Orange.
