Varied route choices at Petone Rec

Published Wed 11 Mar 2020

Around 90 people ran on tonight's sprint course around Petone Recreation Ground planned by Barabara Bridger. It was the fourth event in the after-work and CSW sprint series and many of the legs offered varied and interesting route choices. The fastest on the long course was Scotland-based Jonny Crickmore who is Laura Robertson's partner. No surprises that Laura was second fastest. They're both in NZ until after the nationals. Of the college students, Nicholas Green was first closely followed by AJ Prichard. Lauren Kendon did enough to take an unassailable lead in Senior Girls, but Senior Boys will be decided in the fifth and final event next week at Thorndon. Results are here.

Winsplits note: Control 15 on the long course (and control 6 on the short) was affected by theft of the SI station sometime in the second half of the event so has been removed from the results. When you are looking at the Winsplits column headings remember there’s a mismatch between what you know as the control number and what Winsplits knows.
